Our grapes come from vineyards located at higher elevations in California's Central Coast region, where cooler temperatures and more moderate sunlight help to produce grapes with intense flavors and aromas. Crafted with care and attention to detail, this Pinot Noir reflects the unique terroir of the higher-altitude vineyards, resulting in a wine that is both expressive and refined.

The Chalone appellation gained worldwide recognition at the Judgment of Paris in 1976, when wines from California took top honors against the best wines of France, shocking the wine world.  Our Pinot Noir grapes come from just up the hill from the grapes which shook the wine world so many years ago.
